Maria spanks Maria!
In an early season babe match, our number one babe, Maria Sharapova, was matched up against Maria Kirilenko in round one of the Australian Open. It was a hard fought battle with Maria Kirilenko taking down Maria Sharapova and moving on to round two.
Maria Kirilenko, one of our favorites, finished 2008 in 5th place on the Babe Poll.
As of this writing, her Australian Open win has helped vault her into the number 2 position with 20% of the votes, trailing Maria Sharapova's 27%.
Is this a sign of 2010, or will another babe finish 1st.
